Our Story

Trattoria Bella Vista was born from a dream - to bring the authentic flavors of Italy to the beautiful island of Malta. In 2010, our founders, the Rossi family, left their hometown of Naples with a suitcase full of family recipes and hearts full of passion.

What started as a small family kitchen has grown into one of Sliema's most beloved Italian restaurants. Our name, "Bella Vista" (Beautiful View), reflects not only the stunning Mediterranean views from our terrace but also our philosophy of creating beautiful moments through food.

Today, three generations of the Rossi family work together to preserve the traditions that make Italian cuisine truly special. Every dish tells a story, every meal creates a memory.

Meet Chef Marco Rossi

Chef Marco Rossi is the heart and soul of Trattoria Bella Vista. Born in Naples and trained in some of Italy's finest kitchens, Marco brings over 25 years of culinary expertise to every dish he creates.

After honing his skills at Michelin-starred restaurants in Rome and Florence, Marco returned to his family's dream of sharing authentic Italian cuisine with the world. His philosophy is simple: respect the ingredients, honor the tradition, and cook with love.
